They celebrate the spontaneity, intimacy, and pure joy of live music…

Chameleon is a trio born from a 20-year friendship and collaboration between Laura Targett (Australia/UK), Bree Delian (Australia/Spain), and Luis Nicolás Carrete (Spain).  Drawing on the rich Celtic traditions of Ireland, Scotland, Spain and Brittany, Chameleon’s love of Spanish melodies and Eastern European rhythms breathes new life into traditional forms, taking unexpected turns to create an experience that is both vibrant and reflective.

With Laura’s vibrant fiddling, Bree’s soulful accordion, and Luis’s driving guitar and bass lines they celebrate the spontaneity, intimacy, and pure joy of live music. Audiences are invited to share in this dialogue—a conversation between friends and traditions, between past and present, between the musicians and the moment.

Listen up.

Chameleon’s music is a vibrant fusion of tradition and spontaneity, weaving together the energy of live performance with heartfelt melodies.

After 20 years apart, Laura decided to visit Bree in her new home in northern Spain. Back when they both lived in Byron Bay, Australia, they shared a weekly residency at a lively local bar called Chameleon. Reuniting after so long, they decided to play again, joined by Luis on guitar. After just three rehearsals, they took to the stage for a spontaneous gig in a charming old bar in Asturias, Spain, and something special sparked.

When they counted the gig money and realised it was just enough to book a studio for a day, it felt like fate. They jumped at the chance to capture their live sound. These three demo tracks are a glimpse into Chameleon’s magic—spontaneous, alive, and full of heart. Take a listen and step into their world!
